Parks and Recreation
In the center of Point Loma, there is a small neighborhood community sports park that houses two baseball fields and four tennis courts. The Little League plays here as well as Concerts that take place in the summer. On both sides of Nimitz Boulevard in Collier Park, the park has a play area for children and also is the home of Point Loma Native Plant Reserve. The 10,000 square foot park overlooks Point Loma Marina and is surrounded by the waterfront promenade. Some of the most beautiful sunset views of the hillsides of Point Loma peninsula and San Diego Bay can be seen from this area.
