2-Paint the Front Door
The first thing that you see when you or someone goes to your house is the front door. Replacing the front door can be pricey, depending on the door you buy. Remember, you’re not only paying for the door. You have to pay for the installation, which sometimes can be the same price as the door. Before doing this, consider painting the door that you already have in another color. When the exterior of your house is a plain subdued color, go bold with the front door. Have fun with it.

Painting can brighten up a room and create an illusion of space in rooms that seem small, dark and dingy. Move away from darker walls this year. Bring in the new year with lighter and brighter. There are hundreds of different white, grey and pale colors to use on walls to brighten up space.
4-Fun Wallpaper
I am not talking about old grandmas wallpaper from the ’70s that takes an army to remove when they tire of it. I am talking about fun and new textured wallpaper that adds dimension and charm to a space. You can add bold colors if you wish or subtle design texture. Best of all, when you are tired of the look, it can easily be removed, and the walls remain unharmed.
5- Paint the Furniture
You may have pieces of furniture that you are tired of and would love to replace. However, doing so will take a large portion of your budget. Forget that; bring some new life to the old furniture by painting it. You will have immediate new furniture at minimal cost and add a whole new look to your space.
6-Slip Covers
You love your sofa but are tired of the color, and if you paint the walls, the tables and console, your sofa will look out of place. No worries, you can ask your local upholsterer and price out what it would cost to upholster your sofa. They can also make slipcovers that look as if though the sofa was upholstered. This is a great way to go because you can often switch them out if you like, depending on your mood.
7-Paint Garage Doors
Don’t forget about the garage doors. They may be worn and beat up but replacing garage doors is definitely not cheap. If they still work, add a little color and viola’, brand new again with a whole different look that can be fun and add character to that part of the house.
